PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS

My teaching placement was at Global Prestasi School (GPS) in Bekasi, a school recognized for its quality education and innovative approach. I was assigned to teach in the elementary level, and this experience gave me the chance to observe, assist, and eventually handle classes. What stood out to me was how supportive and collaborative the teachers were, making the adjustment easier.
I had the opportunity to explore a student-centered approach to learning. The school integrates national and international curricula, with a strong emphasis on creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
As a future educator, I was fascinated by how lessons were designed to not only deliver knowledge but also to nurture values, curiosity, and independent learning. Classrooms were interactive, with teachers guiding students to ask questions, share ideas, and solve problems together.

One of the most valuable things I learned was that pedagogy is not just about what we teach—it’s about how we connect with learners. The balance of discipline, warmth, and encouragement at GPS showed me how effective teaching must touch both the mind and heart of every student.
